UUC Campus Engagement provides a space for students to explore and grow their faith life. Whether you’re interested in reflections on faith and service, interfaith dialog, a progressive Christian bible study, theological/philosophical exploration or just chatting over a cup of coffee, we want to give you the resources and support to integrate your spirituality into the everyday experiences of campus life. For more information contact Rev. Matthias Petersen-Brandt.
On Mondays and Fridays from 12p-2p our Community Outreach Ministry provides a community meal, sack lunches, hygiene kits, transportation assistance and social service referrals to drop-in guests who need our help.
You can help us with this ministry in a number of ways:
1) Donate money to the UUC Hunger Fund;
2) Donate some of the following items: Brown Paper Bags, Granola Bars, Juice Boxes, Canned Sausages (with pop-tops), Tuna Pouches, Peanut Butter and Crackers Snack Packs
Oportunidad is a ministry that provides food and shelter to homeless and nearly-homeless Latino/as in the MacArthur Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Oportunidad is open to all people, regardless of background, economic status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or religious belief. Our congregation is blessed by the participation of many Oportunidad residents in our weekly Sunday worship services.
